Legal & Regulatory
James R. Holbein is Counsel at Braumiller Law Group and an experienced international trade and customs lawyer. A former U.S. federal executive, he served as Director, Office of Tariff Affairs and Trade Agreements. He believes blockchain networks using digital assets and Web3 capabilities offer an exciting opportunity to reform centralized, globalized systems to become far more efficient and open to the people of the world. Compliance-oriented, he focuses on what compliance looks like for blockchain organizations, and has collaborated with Justin on over 20 articles on the technical and legal developments in the blockchain and digital asset sector.
Justin E. Holbein
Technology & Crypto
Justin E. Holbein is a blockchain subject-matter expert and full-stack onchain developer who has been in the cryptocurrency space since 2014. Building at the intersection of AI and crypto, he is actively working on the protocols described in this book — particularly the payment-protocol and AI-agent infrastructure covered in Part V — putting into practice what the book describes.
